Everyone is a Suspect: Phone and Internet Traking

When Bill O’Rilley, Ron Paul, Bernie Sanders, and Rachel Maddow come down on the same side of an issue, we should set aside our differences and work toward a common goal.  This issue is easy to sum up.
The US government is spying on you.  Period.

The government keeps track of everyone’s phone records, tracks every email, logs every website and video you watch, and, as the source quoted in the Washington Post article put it, “They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type.”
Many people believed this was happening already.  Leaks about this have been happening since 2006.  The NSA is building a new facility multiple times bigger than the capitol building just for data mining and analysis.  The spying that is happening is just now being confirmed as a fact.
They say it is legal
If you look at the PATRIOT ACT, its reauthorizations, and any defense bill passed since 9-11, you could argue that it is legal.  Senators are confirming that we have been doing this for 7 years.  That there is nothing to fear from these programs because, you know, terror.
It is not constitutional

The 4th Amendment

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Every American is either a suspected terrorist or our government is violating our constitution. Period.
Any thinly veiled attempt to say it is legal to collect intimate information of every US citizen is wrong.  If there was no question of legality why is it secret to the point that if I received an order from the FISA court I am ordered not to tell anyone, not even a lawyer or judge, that I have received such an order under penalty of imprisonment?  If it is right and legal it would not need to be secret.
If we don’t have freedom what are we fighting for?
If they attack us for our values and we change our values because of their actions, they have won.  I hope that the right, left, and everyone in between can agree that this act of big brother government needs to end and work toward ending it.

If we can’t come together on an issue such as this then maybe all is actually lost.  We are doomed to lose control of our liberty and become the populous lied to and controlled by the government betrayed in 1984.
